She undertook Accounting Business and Accounting studies at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington, USA (1987-1989) and later read a Diploma in Project Management with Merit, at the Zambia Institute of Accountancy Studies (ZICAS University, Lusaka. Zambia, 2007-2009) She Initiated of a feeding program for street children in 1999 that that grew from 20-300 boys being fed monthly, leading to the co-founding (with Dr. Banda) of the Lazarus Project (donor funded humanitarian project), which she directed for 11 years, rescuing and rehabilitating over 1000 street (some orphaned) and vulnerable children, providing them access to education and life skills.
